Clint Wolf qualified in the 800-meter run, high jump and long jump; Cade Argenbright will participate in the 400-meter run and 200-meter run; Justin Goldsmith will be competing in the discus.
The Sulphur Bluff Bears got timely hitting and stellar pitching Monday to down Honey Grove 7-2 in a key district baseball win.
Pitcher Blake Brown got the victory to go to 6-1 for the year; he had 11 strikeouts.
Dakota Emerson was 3 for 3 with two doubles, a single and two runs scored. Collin Williams had two hits, including a homer, plating four. Justin Goldsmith was 2 for 3 and Brown added two hits. Hunter Powers had one hit, one RBI and Erin Zeringue contributed a double.
The Bears play Saturday in Yantis at 1 p.m. in their next district outing.
Como-Pickton senior Bryce Steele placed second in the high jump at 5-10 in Commerce area track competition.
He advances to the Regional Meet at Whitehouse Friday.
Steele was the only Eagle to qualify. The top four places advance from area to regional.

BIRTHRIGHT — North Hopkins did well in recent area track action at Wolfe city with several athletes qualifying for regional.
Mauricio Gamez was fourth in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 12:10. Samantha Gamez took fourth in the girls 3,200-meter run.
Bailee Gammill won the long jump at 15 feet, 4 1/4 inches; she was third in the triple jump, 30 feet, 5 1/4 inches.
Jessie Williams won the discus with a toss of 134 feet, 8 inches.
No. 10 Saltillo
The softball district champion Saltillo Lady Lions are awaiting a playoff game.
They have a warm-up game Friday at Wolfe City at 5 p.m.
The Lady Lions are ranked No. 10 in the state and had a first round bye in the playoffs. Their area opponent is TBA.
