    CUMBY — The Trojans scored a big district baseball win Friday at home, defeating Saltillo, 20-0.

    The Trojans had 17 hits in the game halted after four innings. Charlie Potts was 3 for 3 with a triple, two doubles and four runs batted in. Justin Smith was also 3 for 3 with two runs plated. Luke Sartin and Cody Anderson also had two hits.
    Jim Evans got the pitching win, striking out five, allowing one hit.
    The Trojans play at Roxton today for a 4:30 p.m. district game.

Sulphur Bluff
wins, 11-1
    The Sulphur Bluff Bears rolled over Fannindel 11-1 in recent district baseball.
    Hunter Powers notched the pitching win for the Bears, striking out 10 batters.
    Top hitters for SB were - Collin Williams, 3 for 4, one homer, three runs batted in; Dakota Emerson, 2 for 3, double, three runs plated; Justin Goldsmith, added a homer; Blake Brown was 2 for 3 and Erin Zeringue also had a hit.
    The Bears play Honey Grove at 4:30 p.m. today and close the regular season at Yantis at 1 p.m. Saturday.
    “We still don’t know the outcome for district playoffs,” said coach Blake Hill. “Teams have games left which will impact the schools at the top of the district.”
