    TEXARKANA — The Sulphur Springs girls took second and the boys were fifth in recent district action held at Texas High.
    The Sulphur Springs duo Emily and Mallory Martin took third and are alternates to regional in girls doubles.


    Texas High won the girls division with 107 1/2 points with Sulphur Springs second, at 37 1/2 points. Pine Tree took third with 30 points.
    In girls singles: Championship-Annie Tarwater (Texas High) def. Baylee McBride (Texas High), 6-1, 6-0; Third place-Amber Crandell (Hallsvile) def. Caitlyn Wilson (Sulphur Springs), 6-4, 6-3.
    In girls doubles: Championship-Mary Claire Boudreaux-Anna Catherine Boudreaux (Texas High) def. Wynne Tidwell-Kristen Weber (Texas High), 4-6, 6-2, 7-6; Third place-Mallory Martin-Emily Martin (Sulphur Springs) def. Grace Horton-Morgan Sutton (Sulphur Springs), 6-1, 6-1; Second place Playback-Tidwell-Weber (Texas High) def. Martin-Martin (Sulphur Springs), 6-0, 6-0.
    In boys singles: Championship-Kyle Kennedy (Texas High) def. Pat Smith (Texas High), 6-1, 6-1; Third place-Tanner Neely (Hallsville) def. Blake Isham (Sulphur Springs), 6-0, 6-2.
    In boys doubles: Championship-Carson Rommel-Ben Norton (Texas High) def. Braden May-Charlie Goins (Texas High), 6-4, 2-6, 6-2; Third place-Cole Cathey-Truitt Arnhart (Hallsville) def. Fernando Hurley-Andrew Suits (Pine Tree), 6-1, 3-6, 7-6; Second place -May-Goins (THS) def. Cathey-Arnhart (Hallsv.), 6-0, 6-2.
    In mixed doubles: Championship-Shelby Hart-Aakash Lanka (Pine Tree) def. Aubree Cramer-Aaron Murdock (Texas High), 6-2, 2-6, 6-2; Third place-Caroline Smith-Matt Teeters (Texas High) def.
