PARIS — Sulphur Springs closed out the regular season with a 1-0 win Saturday at North Lamar in the regular season finale.
Sulphur Springs got a Samuel Gallegos goal early in the contest, coming off a nice cross from Jose Garcia.

Gallegos headed the ball into the net off the fine assist and the Wildcats had the only goal which would be scored in the regular season district finale for both squads.
The Wildcats were a perfect 8-0 in district and are 17-3-5 overall.
“Weather was an issue in the game Saturday. We had a delay of about 12 minutes in the first half due to lightning,” said Andy Holt, Sulphur Springs head boys soccer coach. “We were able to resume about 45 minutes later and finished the half in a lot of standing water. We were unable to complete the second half, so we got the win 1-0. We are excited now to head into the playoffs.”
Sulphur Springs took first place and will advance to play Carrollton Creekview in boys, girls doubleheader Tuesday in Forney.
The Lady Cats(10-10-4) play Carrollton Creekview at 6 p.m. and the boys teams collide at 8 p.m.
