Bowling league report for Feb. 19

Vincent Smith started the year off right with a 299 game, but has since been in a rut.  Smith ended his slump this week with his 728 three game scratch series.  The Watkins anchorman booked games of 215, 256 and 257 to help the team to a three win victory.  
    Jason Keller led his team, The King Pins, to a flawless night with his 782 three game scratch effort.  Keller had an impressive night on games of 257, 248 and 277 and boosted his team into sole possession of third place in the team standings.  


    Mike Fletcher took the Bears to a four win night on his 733 scratch set during the Super Bowl Post Bowl league.  Fletcher, with a 220 average, tossed games of 256 and 267 to complete the night 73 pins above his average for series.  

Super Bowl Post Bowl
    Kathleen Walker took advantage of prime lane conditions Sunday night, posting a 598 three game scratch set.  Walker booked scores of 188 and 246 on her 181 average to help her team to four wins for the match.  
    Ralphie Harrod shot games of 183 and 209 on her 167 average during Sunday’s mixed play.  Harrod, leadoff bowler for the Falcons, was 56 pins above her average for series and led her team to a three win victory for the session.  Harrod’s teammate, Alton Attaway, chipped in with scores of 161 and 149 on his 137 individual average.  
    Classic Lanes Hall of Fame bowler Wes Campbell, took his team to a four win evening with his 662 scratch series.  Campbell fired games of 197, 255 and 210 to help his team climb into a three way tie for third place in the team standings.  
    Jason Keller bagged the high set of the night with his 742 scratch series.  Keller shot games of 235, 297 and 210 with the second game containing eleven strikes in a row.  

Monday Night Ladies
    Brandi Harvey posted the high set of Monday night’s action with her 517 three game scratch series.  Harvey posted scores of 186 and 172 on her 164 average to help her team, Dolls with Balls, into a two way tie for fourth place in the team standings.      
    Hazel Dawes knocked down a combined 426 pins Monday night on her 113 average.  Dawes bowled games of 174, 114 and 138 to finish the match 87 pins above her average for series.  
    Leona Cerretani led her team, R U Kidding, to a four win night with games of 144, 143 and 136 for a 423 scratch set.  Cerretani’s teammate, Margret Hyde, was also above par with her 385 scratch series on her 114 average.  Hyde rolled games of 134, 119 and 132
    Rene Pope had a stellar night posting a solid 467 scratch set on her 122 average.  Pope shot scores of 178, 137 and 152 to complete the night 101 pins above her average for series.  Pope also led her team, the Lake Fork Hookers, to three of four possible wins for the session.  

Tuesday Night Mixed
    Betty Russell led the women Tuesday night with her 571 three game scratch series.  Russell shot scores of 195, 187 and 189 to help her team, the Strikers, to one win and finish 34 pins above her average for series.  
    Justin Haggerty just missed the 700 mark with his 687 three game scratch series.  Haggerty, who has been one of Classic Lanes most consistent bowlers this season, rolled games of 227, 213 and 247 to help his team to sweep their competition for the match.  
    Jim Galloway found his mark Tuesday night shooting scores of 190, 191 and 173 on his 169 individual average.  Galloway helped his team jump into sixth position in the team standings and take three wins in the process.  
    Steve Burrow helped his team, Brownie and Company, to half of the four possible wins during Tuesday’s mixed play.  Burrow bagged games of 153, 151 and 184 on his 144 average.  
Thursday Men’s Commercial
    Jason Parmer recorded the second high set of the night during men’s competition Thursday night with his impressive 730 scratch series.  Parmer led his team, Walter’s Boys, to a flawless night on games of 247, 265 and 218.  
    Trailing not too far behind Parmer was Dewayne Roach with his respectable 699 scratch set.  Roach tossed games of 224 and 278 on his 212 average to help his team to four wins for the evening.  
    Chris Brooks had an above average night, shooting a solid 648 series.  Brooks charted scores of 213 and 243 to help his team, Harrison’s Crew, take two wins for the match.  
    Jerry Thompson posted scores of 227 and 213 on his 182 individual average during men’s play Thursday night.  Thompson and his team, the Grey Beards, walked away with three of four wins and leaped into fourth place in the team standings.
