The hometown Bears had four players in double figures as they rolled to an easy 65-25 win over Karnack.
Blake Brown and Tyler Raine tied for top scoring honors with 16 each for Sulphur Bluff. Teammate Justin Goldsmith had 15 with Dakota Emerson, adding 11 for the winning team.
The Bears blew open a close game going on a 28-6 scoring run in the third period to put the game on ice.

Lone Oak 34
COMO — Corbin Flora had 11 points and Yoan Preciado added 10 as the Eagles flew by Lone Oak, 44-34 in Tuesday boys district basketball action.
Lone Oak took a 12-9 lead, but fell cold in the second period. Como-Pickton went on an 8-0 burst to take a 17-12 lead and get momentum to finish off the game.
“The fans really showed their support. The game stayed close but the crowd never let us lose momentum,” said Roy Moody, Como-Pickton head basketball coach. “The team would like to thank the fans for their enthusiasm, and remind them we play Winnsboro at home Friday. The fans are a big part of our success at home.”

DETROIT — The North Hopkins Panthers moved into a second place tie with Avery after defeating Detroit, 63-41 here Tuesday.
Jessie Williams had 19 points to pace the Panthers. Kevin Meza pumped in 15 points for NH.
North Hopkins is 7-2 in district with three games left. The Panthers host James Bowie Friday night.

The Trojans fell behind early 11-2 and could not recover.
In junior varsity action, Cumby won 35-28.

SALTILLO — The hometown state-ranked Lions bolted to a quick 20-8 lead and never looked back bombing Bloomburg, 73-42.
Tyler Davison led the scoring parade with 26 points to pace the squad. Nick Boekhorst added 19 points in the paint.
“It was a solid ball game throughout. We played good defense, controlled the boards. We shared the ball and shot well. We were 22 of 25 from the free throw line,” said Bill Giles, Saltillo head boys basketball coach.
Saltillo is No. 11 in the state Class 1A, Division rankings, they are 23-7 overall, 7-0 in district.

SALTILLO — The No. 1 Saltillo Lady Lions played well Tuesday, taking a 62-15 win over Bloomburg in girls district action.
Karli Brewer topped the scoring with 18; Victoria Stretcher added 14 and Haylee Clover scored 10 in the rout.
Saltillo took a 30-10 lead at the half and cruised to win basketball win at home.
Saltillo will face Avinger at 6 p.m. Friday for homecoming.

Jesus Sandoval had 10 points to pace the Owl attack.
Miller Grove bolted to a 28-13 lead at the half and stayed ahead the rest of the game.
