FORNEY — The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats soccer team tied North Garland 2-all in the first round of the North Forney Tournament Thursday.
Grace Grafton and Esmeralda Sanchez had one goal each for the Lady Cats. Assists came by Madison Ramirez and Hannah Schulz.
Myranda Pierce also had a shot on goal.
Goal keeper Emalee McMillan had 12 saves.
The Lady Cats were scheduled to play Seagoville at 8 a.m. today and take on Wilson at 2:30 p.m.
Tournament play continues through Saturday.
