CUMBY — The Cumby Lady Trojans increased their season record to 25-4, district record 9-3 and will proceed on into postseason play with their 52-46 win over the Yantis Lady Owls Friday.
Yantis took an early lead against Cumby with three players scoring into the double figures. Blanca Reyna popped in 12, Amanda Collins added 11, and Shelby Allen scored an even 10 for the Lady Owls. It was in the fourth quarter that Yantis saw the game and the ball slip away. Cumby rallied for 20 points holding Yantis to five.

It was the last home game for Lady Trojan seniors Lindsey Lemon and Courtney Steward.
It was point guard Savanah Neal that led their team in scoring adding 21 more points to her running season total (four rebounds, two steals, two assist).
Teammate Laura Oviedo had a double, double sinking 13 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
