Dates set for Dixie Tournaments

The Texas State Conference was held Saturday Feb 7 at LeTourneau University in Longview. At the end of the conference state bids were taken for the 2009 Texas Baseball season. The following cities won bids on Dixie Tournaments by placing the highest bid. The 8U Darlings, 10U Angels, 7-8 "AA" Coach Pitch, and Dixie boys 14 North will be in Sulphur Springs. This year Dixie Majors is offering Dixie Series Tournaments starting May 23 and ending June 27.

This is in addition to Dixie’s normal participation to enter the State Tournaments in Paris. These two-day tournaments will start with Saturday pool play and Sunday is elimination ending with championship. The top six teams at the end of the season will have the option to participate in the State Tournaments at Paris for 15-19-year-olds. More information is given at www.dixieseries.com.
