MILLER GROVE — The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats took a 74-30 win over Miller Grove here Tuesday in non-district basketball action.

Desi Debase led the Lady Cats with 32 points, 5 steals and 9 deflections. The Lady Cats had 22 steals on the night and 25 deflections. Sarah Womack had 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals.
"We took a lot of girls and all of them scored. We brought three girls up from the junior varsity. We had a good game. We took advantage of a lot of turnovers. We had a quickness and speed advantage," said Jeff Chapman, Lady Cats head basketball coach. "Miller Grove is down a little, they have had some injuries."
Chapman said, "It was good to get in a game, we are in a rhythm now and I want the team to stay in that rhythm. Our defense was up and down in the game. We came out and had a slow first quarter. But we got some points from Chrissalynd Person off steals and layups and that got us going. We rebounded the ball very well. We got the ball and starting hitting the outlet passes to Desi Debase and Person. We had a pretty good night shooting the ball. We had several 3's and we made a good percentage of our free throws. We played a half court trap for most of the game. We are still working to get good."
The Lady Cats are now 12-4 for the year.
