"C.H.E.S.S. is very well-coached and have some solid talent. You can't keep putting them on the line like we did and expect to win. We have to cut down on all of our fouling if we are going to stay in ball games. The game was well officiated, we just fouled a lot," Coach Larry Tucker said. "I was pleased with Alexus Garcia (7 points, 12 rebounds) and Briana Weigel also had a good game. Andrea Corrales for C.H.E.S.S. could play anywhere, she's very good."
Corrales led all scorers with 21 points while Garcia led North Hopkins.
The Lady Panthers play tonight at Miller Grove followed by a rematch with C.H.E.S.S. at North Hopkins. The Lady Panthers record dropped to 2-3 for the season. Each night four games will be played beginning at 4:30 p.m.
