Friday night
The Cumby Trojans will play Overton in the Class 1A area baseball playoffs in a best-of-three series set in Gilmer.
Game 1 is Friday at 7:30 p.m., Game 2 is Saturday at 2 p.m. and Game 3, if needed, will be 30 minutes after the end of Game 2 at the same location.
Cumby is 15-8 coming off a win in a recent warmup game with Rockwall Christian Academy. Cumby won 8-5 over the squad which was the TAPPS 2A state semifinalist.
