SS teams face Greenville in basketball tonight

Sulphur Springs teams take on foes from Greenville today in District 13-4A basketball.
The Wildcats will host the Lions at the SSHS gym with the freshmen playing at 5 p.m., with the junior varsity and varsity tilts to follow.

Hammack happy with early baseball practices

Smiling in the sunshine, watching players taking batting practice and field ground balls, Wildcats head baseball coach Jerrod Hammack looked and acted like a man with a new lease on life.
Hammack battled medical issues a year ago which included gall bladder surgery and a stint in the hospital. In all he missed several weeks of action before returning to the dugout.
The coach survived the ordeal and is back in good health for the upcoming baseball season.
