SSMS boys track team sweeps home meet

The Sulphur Spring Middle School boys track teams swept three other teams in recent action at the Sulphur Springs High School track.
The Sulphur Springs eighth grade boys won their division with a team total of 206, easily outscoring Rains, Royse City and Commerce squads.

SS athletic trainers recognized

Sulphur Springs athletic trainers joined in with trainers around the area receiving honors for their hard work and dedication.
In National Athletic Training month, which was March, the group was recognized.

Sub-varsity baseball teams split

Sulphur Springs came up with one win and one loss during home sub-varisty baseball action Saturday at Eagle Stadium in non-district play against North Lamar.
In a 10-6 freshman win, Dillon Carpenter pitched one inning, Ryan Ferguson and Kade Hudgins each pitched three innings.

The Sulphur Springs girls golf team took first place in the recent Garden Valley Invitational held at Lindale.


Wildcats lose playoff game to HP

ROCKWALL – For the second consecutive year, overtime against Highland Park was a little too long for the Sulphur Springs Wildcat soccer team.
The Wildcats and Scots faced off in the bi-district round of the Class 4A playoffs for the second straight year, and it was Highland Park that came away with a 3-1 victory at Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium on Friday night.
