Blame it on the rain, Cumby washed out Friday

It was set, it was in the books. On my schedule. It was going to happen. I had my notepad ready.
Cumby and Overton were going to meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Matt Camp baseball park on the campus of Gilmer High School last night.
Oh wait, a funny thing happens on the way to watch sparkling plays on the baseball diamond. Mother Nature had another idea.

Cumby opens playoffs vs. Overton tonight

CUMBY — If the Trojans feed of their last outing, then they should go a long way in the Class 1A playoffs.
In their last outing, a warmup game with Rockwall Christian Academy, they won 8-5 with a walk off grand slam by Charlie Potts.
All Trojans fans hope that positive energy carries over tonight.
