Lady Cats play at Prosper Tuesday

Cold weather, including rain and sleet caused the Sulphur Springs softball opener scheduled for today to be moved to Prosper Tuesday at 5 p.m.
The Lady Cats will play at Prosper in a varsity only contest.

Wildcats roll over Atlanta 10-3 in soccer

The Sulphur Springs Wildcats finished off their non-district soccer schedule with a dominating, two-hat trick performance Friday night over Atlanta.
Junior striker Tony Bravo and senior forward Adrian Correa each knocked in three goals apiece to pace the Wildcats to a 10-3 victory in a cold, windy setting at Gerald Prim Stadium.
The Wildcats scored five goals in the first 18 minutes to decide the outcome and head coach Andy Holt played his substitutes liberally after that.

T High surge downs Wildcats, 62-51

Texas High went on a 17-7 scoring outburst in the third quarter to break open a tie game, leading to a 62-51 win by the Tigers, ruining Senior Night for Sulphur Springs.
A night which was supposed to belong to the home team, went instead to the visitors.

SSHS tennis report

The following scores were submitted by Sulphur Springs tennis coach Randal Namanny from recent tournament play in Tyler at the John Tyler Tournament on Feb. 3.
In girls singles – Morgan Sutton lost in the first round 8-0 to Huskey from All Saints and fell in the second round; Maddie Millsap, lost 8-3 to Navarro of Whitehouse in first round and went down to defeat in the second round.
