Wildcats take 1-0 soccer win

PRINCETON — The Sulphur Springs Wildcats remained undefeated in district play, taking a 1-0 win on the road Tuesday.

NH Panthers lose in playoffs

MILLER GROVE — The North Hopkins Panthers fell behind Bland early and had to play catch-up the rest of the night before finally falling to the Tigers, 52-38.         The playoff jitters seemed to get to the Panthers while the veteran Tigers, with four seniors, streaked to a 17-0 first quarter lead.     The Panthers first score came on an old fashioned three point play with Jose Osorio hitting a driving shot and then converting a free throw with 6:28 left in the second quarter to make it a 17-3 game.

Sulphur Bluff
loses playoff
to Douglass
HAWKINS — The Sulphur Bluff Bears took a 65-32 loss to Douglass Tuesday in the Class 1A basketball bi-district playoffs at Hawkins High School.
Douglass took a 20-6 lead after one period and rolled to the win.

Yantis will play at 7 p.m. Thursday against Avery at Paris High School in boys Class 1A playoffs.

Saltillo plays Goodrich at 7 p.m. Friday at Jacksonville College in the Class A, Division II playoffs.

Lady Cats down Princeton 4-2 in soccer

The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats rallied for three second half goals to take a 4-2 win over Princeton in Monday district soccer action.
Sulphur Springs, now 13-4-2, went to 1-1 in district play following the win over the Lady Panthers.
