    post wins
    The Sulphur Springs middle school B team won 25-13, 15-12 in recent volleyball action against Mount Pleasant. Destiny Weeks had eight kills, Macie Merrill, nine points, Mandy Stonaker, eight and Sara Bernig, five points.
    The SSMS A team defeated Mount Pleasant, 25-17, 25-14. Daieyshia Pruitt had 11 points, Tahtiana King, nine points with two aces, Jaye Doughtie had eight passes; Kristin Allen and Hanna Crowson, 11 sets, Tori Moore, seven sets; Ellie Eckerd, four kills, Pruett two and Destiny Godbolt, two.

No. 9 Pine Tree sweeps the Lady Cats

    Longview Pine Tree lived up to their No. 9 state-ranking, downing Sulphur Springs 25-10, 25-19, 25-13 in the District 14-4A debut for both teams Friday.
    The crowd in the SSHS gym got to see a fast-paced match decided in 65 minutes as the Lady Pirates dominated the action.
