The “Mac Attack” is heading east, way east.
Mac Morgan, a powerful hitter with a rocket arm for the Sulphur Springs Lady Cats signed a national letter of intent to play college softball with Big East Conference member Providence College of Rhode Island.
Morgan was quizzed on why she’s taking her big softball skills to the school located in the smallest state in the union, 1,700 miles away from her home in Texas.
“I took the visit there and really liked it. I got to stay in the dorm and meet the coaches and the other players. It just seemed like the place for me,” Morgan said. “When you know you know, I just loved it. It felt right. Rhode Island is a different atmosphere from Texas, but it seemed like a nice place to play.”
