DALLAS (AP) — Part of a Dallas outdoor exhibit by famed glass artist Chihuly has been damaged in storms packing hail the size of baseballs.

Dallas Arboretum spokeswoman Wendy Rentz said Thursday that six pieces of "Persian Pond" are broken and must be replaced. The real lily pond, about the size of a children's small wading pool, features delicate black and white glass Chihuly pieces.

Rentz had no immediate damage estimate from Wednesday night's storm. She says works in the exhibit by Seattle-based Dale Chihuly are insured.

Some vehicles in East Dallas suffered broken windshields in the bad weather. Several skylights were smashed at NorthPark Center mall.

Three people were hurt in Fannin County, about 60 miles northeast of Dallas, when storms damaged some mobile homes.
