Invitation for Bids
The City of Sulphur Springs will receive sealed bids for Water and Sewer Pipe and all associated component parts as listed in the bid documents for the Mulberry/Rogers CDBG funded project until 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 26th-2013 at the Office of the City Secretary, 125 S. Davis St., Sulphur Springs, Texas. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time, in the City Council Chambers, located in City Hall at 125 S. Davis St. This project is funded by federal funds through the CDBG program.
Bids are invited for the following items and estimated quantities:
1. 1,180 linear feet of 6” SDR26 sewer pipe
2. 1,300 linear feet of 6” C900 DR water pipe
3. 2 Manholes with 30 inch ring and lid
4. 2 AFC Fire Hydrants B-84-B
5. Miscellaneous other parts listed in the Bid Documents
Bid/Contract Documents, including Technical Specifications are on file at 1313 N. Hillcrest (City of Sulphur Springs’ Service Center), Sulphur Springs, Texas 75482. The City of Sulphur Springs is accepting bids on a cloth media filtration system (4 units) with a peak flow treatment capacity of 8.05 MGD for the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Bids are due on or before 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Sulphur Springs Municipal Building, (125 S. Davis), attention Robert Lee. The City reserves the right to consider only those bids which are responsive to terms, conditions and specifications of the invitation to bid. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Commissioners’ Court of Hopkins County will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom on the first floor of the Hopkins County Courthouse located at 118 Church St., Sulphur Springs, Texas, to consider changing the OSSF (On-Site Sewage Facility), orders to add a County fee to the required Maintenance Contracts on Aerobic OSSF systems, and also to up the miniumm acreage from 1/2 acre to 1 acre.
