The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office has impounded two horses from the area of CR 1444 and CR 1469. One is a paint colored male and the other is a tan in color female on 3/27/2013. The horses will be sold at the local auction if not claimed by the owner. For more information contact the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office at 903-438-4040.



Competitive sealed proposals for the Sulphur Springs High School Tennis Complex Addition - 2013 are being accepted by Sulphur Springs Independent School District. Proposers may obtain an electronic copy of the contract documents by contacting the Construction Manager, Gallagher Construction Services, 2600 Technology Drive, Suite 400, Plano, Texas 75074, 972-633-0564, 972-633-0164 Fax. Electronic copies of the contract documents will also be furnished to area plan rooms.
Mailed proposals should be addressed to Sulphur Springs Independent School District, 631 Connally Street, Sulphur Springs, Texas 75482 and received before 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013. All other proposals shall be sent directly to Sulphur Springs Independent School District, Administration Office, 631 Connally Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 7582 and received before 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013. Thereafter, at 4:00 p.m., all sealed proposals will be quickly opened and read aloud.
The following requests for proposal will be available for proposal from multiple prime contractors who will contract directly with Sulphur Springs Independent School District and be coordinated by Gallagher Construction Services:

The schedule of requests for proposal is shown as a general guide and proposal packages may be added or deleted. Proposers shall check Gallagher Construction Services web page at www.gallaghertx.com for a full and complete current listing.
Evaluation criteria shall be based on price, reputation, experience, quality of product(s) and service(s), past reputation, bonding, financial status and safety records.
Proposals of $25,000 or more must be submitted with a bid bond or cashier’s check in the amount of 5% percent of the greatest amount proposed. All proposers will be require to comply with provisions of the V.T.C.A. Texas Government Code, Section 2258 of the State of Texas with respect to the payment of prevailing wage rates, applicable city ordinances and equal employment practices. Evidence of worker’s compensation insurance coverage’s for the person’s or entity’s employees providing services on the project will be required for the duration of the work. Upon notification of potential selections for award the person or entity submitting the proposal must give notice to the district if the owner or operator of the business entity has been convicted of a felony. The notice must include a general description of the conduct resulting in the conviction of the felony (this requirement does not apply to a publicly held corporation).
A pre-proposal conference will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Sulphur Springs ISD Administration Building, 631 Connally Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482. Attendance is encouraged by a representative of each firm submitting a proposal. Failure to be represented at this meeting may eliminate a proposer from consideration for work on this project.
