Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on January 21, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. and Zoning Board of Adjustments will hold a Public Hearing on January 22, 2013 at 5:30 P.M., in the Municipal Building at 125 South Davis Street. ZBA Case No. 130101: A request by Owner/Barbara Grubbs for a Special Use Permit for property located at 1250 Jefferson Street, being further described as the S. Pt. of Lot 2, Block 303, to place a travel trailer for security purposes.
ZBA Case No. V130102: A request by Owner/Joseph McCorkle for a variance to the setback requirements for property located 565 Texas Street, being further described at Lot 23A, Block 30-2 to allow a remodel and addition to this existing structure.

ORDINANCE NO. 2629
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS, BY DECLARING A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND FROM LIGHT COMMERCIAL TO HEAVY COMMERCIAL.
WHEREAS, a request has been received by owner Wayne Cooper to rezone property located at the corner of South Hillcrest and Main Street, being further described as Lots 3 and 4 of Block 101, from Light Commercial (LC) to Heavy Commercial (HC).
WHEREAS, the boundaries of the new district are delineated on the City of Sulphur Springs map which is designed as the “Zoning District Map” together with all notations, reference, and information is hereby adopted and made a part of this ordinance as though the same were adopted full herein.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Sulphur Springs, Texas, that the above tract of land be changed to Heavy Commercial (HC) from Light Commercial (LC).
IT IS SO ORDAINED.

The Como-Pickton C.I.S.D. Tax Office will be closed December 24, 2012-January 4, 2013. A December 2012 payment date will be used for all mail received on or before December 31, 2012 and for taxes paid in person on January 7, 2013.
