CITY OF SULPHUR SPRINGS

INVITATION TO BID

 

 

The City of Sulphur Springs is now accepting Sealed bids for:

 

Sulphur Springs Airport Fuel Farm Improvements

 

Sealed Bids are due on or before 2:00pm, on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the City of Sulphur Springs Purchasing Office, 125 S. Davis St., Sulphur Springs, Texas 75482. Sealed Bids must have written on the sealed envelope:  “Sulphur Springs Airport Fuel Farm Improvements – Attention Jody Price.” Sealed bids will be opened and read aloud on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 2:15pm in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at Sulphur Springs City Hall, located at 201 North Davis Street, Sulphur Springs Texas 75482.  An Optional pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Sulphur Springs Municipal Airport Terminal building at 1220 Cessna Drive, Sulphur Springs Texas 75482.

Digital copies of the bid documents for the Sulphur Springs Airport Fuel Farm Improvements Project are available at http://www.dot.state.tx.us/business/plansonline/agreement.htm. The project includes, but is not limited to, underground fuel tank removal for the existing 100LL Avgas tank, Portland Cement Concrete paving, installation of a 12,000 gallon 100LL Avgas fuel tank, installation of a 12,000 gallon Jet-A-fuel tank, installation of the self-serve dispensers and credit card reader for the Avgas fueling system, installation of the underground fuel line between the Avgas fuel tanks to the fuel dispensers, grading and reestablishment of turf as shown on the plans and indicated in the specifications, and installation of new electric and telecommunications service to the fuel farm. Please note, the fuel tanks and fuel system components have already been purchased by the City of Sulphur springs through Fuel Tech, Inc.  This project will require the contractor to off-load the fuel tanks and fuel system components upon delivery by Fuel Tech.  A bid alternate to remove the existing  underground Jet-A-fuel tank have been included and may be awarded based on available funding. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in bidding.  In case of lack of clarity in stating prices, the City reserves the right to consider the most advantageous bid thereof, or reject the bid. Qualified DBE firms are encouraged to submit bids.
