Public Meeting Notice
2012 and 2013 Unified Transportation Program Revision and the 2013-2016 Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will host an open-house style public meeting to solicit public comments and input for revisions to the 2012 Unified Transportation Program (UTP), which covers fiscal years (FY) 2012 through 2021, revisions to the 2013 UTP, which covers FY 2013 through 2022 and the 2013-2016 Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP).
The statewide public meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. (CST) to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the following locations:

Unified Transportation Program
The UTP is a comprehensive ten-year plan for the development and construction of State of Texas transportation projects including roadways, aviation, public transportation, waterways and coastal waters, and rail projects and includes specific funding levels for each fiscal year.
Beginning promptly at 6:15 p.m., TxDOT staff will conduct a brief presentation on the purpose and revisions of the 2012 UTP and the 2013 UTP. Additional information will be available for public viewing and TxDOT representatives will be on-hand to discuss the development process and answer questions. Forms will be provided in order to receive written comments. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. Statewide Transportation
Improvement Plan
The STIP is a mechanism used by TxDOT and the Federal Highway Administration to fund projects for the next four years and includes all federally funded projects. This public meeting pertains specifically to the 2013-2016 STIP; TxDOT representatives will be on-hand to answer STIP related questions.
The 2013-2016 STIP may be reviewed online at
http://www.txdot.gov/business/governments/stips/htm or at any TxDOT District Office no earlier than Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Locations of these offices can be found at: http://www.dot.state.tx.us/local information/
