The Hopkins County Commissioners Court will accept sealed bids until 9:00 A.M., Thursday, September 6, 2012, in the  County Judge’s office for the Purchase of Road Materials for Hopkins County.

Bidder may use lump-sum or unit pricing as designated in the specifications.  No money will be paid to contractor until completion and acceptance of the work or the fulfillment of the purchase obligation to the County.  Bids will be presented to Commissioners Court Monday, 9:00 A.M., September 10, 2012, located on the first floor of the County Courthouse.

The Hopkins County Commissioner’s Court will conduct a Public Hearing to renew the plan for the District Clerk’s Technology Fund, Senate Bill 1685, to fund the preservation and restoration of the District Clerk’s records.  The meeting will be held on August 13, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Hopkins County Courthouse, Sulphur Springs, Texas.

ORDINANCE NO. 2620
Consider on first reading authorizing the issuance and sale of City of Sulphur Springs, Texas, General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2012, to provide funds for the purpose of refunding outstanding obligations of the City issued for various public improvements and for paying costs of issuance of the bonds; bearing interest at the rates hereinafter set forth; prescribing the form of bonds; levying ad valorem taxes for the payment of principal and interest on the bonds; making certain other covenants of the city in reference to the bonds and the funds from which said bonds are to be paid; approving an official statement and execution of a paying agent/registrar agreement, bond purchase agreement and escrow agreement; awarding sale of said bonds, providing an effective date; and enacting other provisions relating thereto.
A public hearing will be conducted for the final reading of Ordinance No. 2620, Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at the Municipal Building, at 7:00 p.m.
