Funeral services for David Ritchie, 59, of Como, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 1p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, with Tommy Johnston officiating.

A military graveside service, under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition, will follow at Como Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Williams, Mike Crain, David Gulley, Jerry Lancaster, Archie Ben Worsham, Eddie Kirkpatrick, Dempsey Biles and Doug Biles. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Lewis, Jerry Knighton and Bobby Huie.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14, at the funeral home.

David Ritchie died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

He was born in Sulphur Springs, on April 8, 1950, the son of Herman (Hump) Ritchie and Letha (Barnes) Ritchie. They preceded him in death.

He married Diane Elaine Gayoso in Sulphur Springs, on Dec. 18, 1993. She survives.

Mr. Ritchie was a truck driver and he was of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Other survivors include three daughters, Tammy Horn and husband, Joe, of Mount Pleasant, Sondra Cornuaud of Rockwall and Jamie Potts and husband, Joey, of Sulphur Springs; two sons, Jason Ritchie of Addison and Chris Magnuson of Cooper; four sisters, Wanda Ritchie of Como, Louise Crain Hill of Alba, Peggy Winkles of Point and Doris Young of Lubbock; two brothers, Richard Craft of Ore City and Bobby Ritchie of Como; grandchildren Ariel Nore, Trenton Horn, Alex Ritchie, Lucy Ritchie, Emily Ritchie, Macey Layton, Logan Oxford, Bryer Parnell, Cody, Grace, Baily and Andrew Magnuson, Raleigh, Brian and Hayden Potts.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Teddy Craft and Jerry Craft.
