Mary Yvonne Swinney Hall of Sulphur Springs went to be with her Lord and Savior December 7, 2009, in Hugoton, Kansas.

She was born January 5, 1941 in Hedley, Texas, to Wesley Alvin and Calvin Mae Swinney. She was a graduate of Hugoton High School Class of 1959. She was married December 21, 1958, to Glen Eldon Hall. Her pride and glory were her children and grandchildren — Adam, Justin, Oran, Kara, TJ, Shawn, Heather, Mikayla, and Keeley. They were the light of her life.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Her greatest passion was genealogy research.

She is survived by her husband, Glen, of the home; daughters Melonie and husband Dennis Findley of Sulphur Springs, Kristie and husband Jon Hoffman of Wylie; and one son, Gregory and wife Ginger Hall of Rockwall; brothers, Bob of Odessa, Don and wife Connie, Wendell and wife Carol, and Ronnie and wife Melanie all of Hugoton, Kan., and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Karissa Dene Hoffman.

Funeral services were attended at the First Christian Church in Hugoton with Pastor Keith Peachy officiating. Internment was in the Hugoton Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Fellowship Christian Church in Sulphur Springs, her home church.

A memorial has been set up in her name at the Hopkins County Genealogy Society, or the memorial of your choice at Paul's Funeral Home.
