A graveside service for Carrie Wesson Wiler, 86, of Mount Pleasant will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at Arbala Cemetery with Rev. Brian Bosworth officiating.

There will be no formal visitation.

Carrie Wesson Wiler passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 20, 2009, at her residence.

She was born in Arbala on Dec. 17, 1922, the daughter of Robert Wesson and Emma (Lamb) Wesson. They preceded her in death.

She married Lathan Wiler in Quitman on Dec. 24, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2008.

Mrs. Wiler was a homemaker. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Deloros Foster of Mt. Pleasant and Carolyn Deats of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Carla Gillette and Karen Campbell, both of Mt. Pleasant, Phillip Deats of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Gregory Deats of Memphis, Tenn.; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Bobbie Holder, Margaret Campbell and Wandean Easley, all of Sulphur Springs.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Wesson and Leland Wesson.

Memorials may be made to Cypress Basin Hospice.

Arrangements are under the direction of  Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
