Graveside services for Troy Edward Jolley, 82, of Sulphur Springs were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Restland Cemetery in Dallas with Frank Wichern officiating. Grandsons served serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Jolley passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Rock Creek Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born on Aug. 6, 1927, in Shelby, North Carolina, the son of Hoover Clark and Nora Gabriella (Timmons) Jolley.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Theisen Jolley, in 1979. He later married Mary Lynne Dickerson on March 6, 1981, in Dallas. She survives.

Mr. Jolley was an insurance agent for more than 30 years and was the owner of Jolley General Agency. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He was a member of James Ladd Burgess Masonic Lodge, the Dallas Scottish Rite, and Hella Temple Shriners, where he participated in parades for several years as part of the group "Roadsters."

Other survivors include one son, Troy Edward Jolley Jr. and wife, Janett, of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Pattie Wichern and husband Frank of Plano, and Cindie Ray and husband, Norman, of Rockwall; two step-daughters, Denise Booher and husband Reece, and Deanne Ragan and husband Truman, all of Sulphur Springs; 10 grandchildren, Jenny Stedman, Sally Waite, Joseph Waite, Lucy Waite, Jordan Ray, Brandon Booher, Tanner Ragan, Tye Boatman, Blaine Booher and Bailey Booher; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials maybe made to the Hospice at Memorial, Meal-A-Day, 150 Martin Luther King Blv., Sulphur Springs, TX 75482, or charity of your choice.
