Graveside services for William “Bill” Douglas Kiser, 67, of Lufkin were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.

Mr. Kiser died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, in Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Mo., after a sudden illness.

William “Bill” Douglas Kiser was born in Wolfe City on Aug. 3, 1942, the son of W.M. and Jewel Dean Gibby Kiser. They preceded him in death.

He married Helen Holcomb on Dec. 23, 1962, in Kermit. She survives.

Mr. Kiser was a self-employed auto glass technician. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church. He was also the Past Master of H.A. McFarland #1338 Masonic Lodge in Odessa and Scottish Rite 32nd degree Valley of Lubbock.

Other survivors include one son, Terry Kiser and wife, Joanne, of Lufkin; two granddaughters, Amber Kiser of Lufkin and Tiffany Kiser of Nacogdoches; one grandson, Kason Kiser of Lufkin; three brothers, Kenneth Kiser of Sulphur Springs, and Allen Kiser and Joe Kiser, both of Kermit; and one sister, Brenda Hammonds of Cisco.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Wesley Kiser, and one brother, Melvin Kiser.

Arrangements were under the direction of R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home.
