Funeral services for Mrs. L. D. “Verginia” Altenbaumer, age 94, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with John Withem and Michael Brundeen officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Arden Cemetery in Arden, Ark., with Eric Altenbaumer, Chad Altenbaumer, Benjamin Price, Steven Bonner, Danny Joyce and Mike McClure serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Murphy, Macolm Kirland and Truman McDaniel.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the services.
Mrs. Altenbaumer passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at the Victoria Gardens in Allen.
She was born on May 21, 1915, in Arden, Ark., the daughter of Walter Jackson and Verginia Quick Perry.
She married Leonard D. Altenbaumer on February 28, 1939, in Richmond, Ark. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Altenbaumer was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Von Altenbaumer and wife Pat of Dallas, Perry Altenbaumer and wife Paula of Sulphur Springs and Neil Altenbaumer and wife Debbie of Trophy Club; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
