Brad Wayne Carroll, 52 of Red Oak, TX, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 peacefully in his home. Brad was a devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a truly great friend to all. His charismatic personality was loved by many, for his dry wit and loyalty to all. Everyone who knew Brad, always knew him for his famous fishing stories and his love for the great outdoors.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 33 years Sylvia Marie Carroll. Daughter Connie and Husband Cody Starek of Lancaster, TX, son Phillip and wife Felicia Carroll of Fort Worth, TX. He also had two beautiful granddaughters that he absolutely adored Briana Starek and Mikayla Carroll. Mother-in-law Sue Grimes, sister-in-law Shirley and husband Billy Aday of Waxahachie, TX.
Born January 15, 1957 on Ellington Air Force base in Houston, TX to J.D. and Margie Carroll. He was the older brother of Camille Fugate and husband Guy of Willis Point, TX, loving uncle to three nieces, six nephews, six great nieces, and three great nephews. He was loved by many friends and family all across Texas.
The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 10 AM Saturday June 6, 2009 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Eddie Mayfield officiating. Interment will be 3 PM at the Conner Cemetery, Dike, Texas. Pallbearers will be Chris Aday, Randall Fadler, Melvin Taylor, Barry Swann, Randy Almon, Gary Genzel Nathan Gaddis and Josh Edwards.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
