Funeral services for Marshall Hammond Clark, age 83, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Lewis officiating.
A private family burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Danny Waldron, Hashem Rezaie, Bruce Roberts, Matt Keifer, Brooks Roberts and Clark Keifer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Spencer and Billy Price.
Mr. Clark passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Clark was born on Sept. 19, 1925, in Blossom, the son of Ed and Imogene Buchanan Clark. They preceded him in death.
He married Jane Upchurch in Paris, Texas, in 1946. She preceded him in death in 1984.
Mr. Clark founded Crystal Feed Mill in 1979. He served as the Chief Executive Officer for 30 years, working until his passing. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs. Mr. Clark was also an avid golfer and man who loved his family. He was a wonderful father and grandfather.
Survivors include four daughters, Pam Waldron and husband Danny of Sulphur Springs, Marsha Rezaie and husband Hashem of Carrollton, Kim Roberts and husband Bruce of Sulphur Springs, and Kristen Keifer and husband Matt of Rockwall; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son Bill Bradley Clark in 1997, and one brother, Bill Clark.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
