Funeral services for Chris Carter, 43, of Emory will be held at First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, with Dr. Raymond Barber and the Rev. Fred Lewis officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery with Bill Bailey, Mike Rhodes, Mike Carter, Jimmy George, Craig Long and Kevin Vickers serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brody Koon, Glen McCurdy, Brad Holland and Glen Friddle.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Chris Carter died at his residence, Monday, March 23, 2009.
He was born in Fort Worth on March 27, 1965, the son of Charles Eldon Carter and Barbara “Boots” (Long) Carter.
Mr. Carter was a landscaping engineer for L3 in Greenville. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, of Brashear, and two daughters, Danyelle Carter and Christal Carter, both of Sulphur Springs.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Edith Carter and J. T. and Leta Long.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
