A private burial will follow in Halcolyn Hill Cemetery in Wheeling, W. Va. Serving as honorary pallberarers will be A.J. Ash, Robert Lerro, Roger Stone, Kenny Rayl, Sean Rayl, Eddie Rayl and Billy Rayl.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rayle died Monday, March 16, 2009, at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Thelma Ellen Jennewein was born April 18, 1923, in Alledonia, Ohio, the daughter of Edward Jenneweine and Norma Saffell Jennewein. They preceded her in death.
She married Wayne Leroy Rayl in Warwood, W. Va., on Dec. 21, 1946. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rayl was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of United Methodist Church in Mt. Lebanon, Pa., and more recenlty of First United Methodist Church of Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include her daughter, Jayne Stone and husband Roger of Sulphur Springs; her son, Wayne Lee Rayl of Lincoln, Neb.; sisters Dorothy McPeak and husband Bill of Mesa, Ariz., and Evelyn Neibergal of Anaheim, Calif.; grandchildren Paula Brito, Pamela Ash, Penny Lerro, Jennifer Rayl, Billy Rayl, Eddie Rayl, Kennny Rayl, Sean Rayl, Teresa Rayl and Kristina Rayl; and great-grandchildren Ashley Moran, Emily Moran, Jocelyn Brito, Allison Lerro, Jared Ash, Jenna Ash, Jessica Ash, Kiana Humphreys, Kippy Humphreys and Kaimana Humphreys.
Mrs. Rayl was also preceded in death by two sons, Randy Lee Rayl and Edward Earl Rayl; one brother, Howard Jennewein; and one sister, Sylvia Holloway.
