Funeral Services for Bobby D. Higginbotham, 80, of Brashear were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 16,  at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
Military Graveside honors will be conducted by the Hopkins County Military Coalition in the Barker Cemetery with Chad Norris, Mike Evans, Danny Arnett, Michael Evans, Brian Evans and Ronny Higginbotham serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Paul Wright, Jimmy Spence, Billy Ford and Billy Wren. 
Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral.     
Bobby D. Higginbotham died Friday, March 13, at his home. 
He was born in Sulphur Springs on Oct. 30, 1928, to William Alton and Mamie Clyde Phillips Higginbotham. They preceded him in death.
He married Nadine Wright in Dallas on Dec. 14, 1957. She survives. 
Mr. Higginbotham served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a self-employed truck driver, retiring in 1984. 
Other survivors include by two sons, Bobby Wayne Higginbotham of Greenville and Bobby Higginbotham Jr. of California; two daughters, Deanna Arnett of Sulphur Springs and Debi Snyder of Marina Valley, Calif.; three sisters, Edna Spence of Emory, Norma McKenzie of Garland and Betty Rapier of Dallas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one daughter.
