Dr. Joe Grant Worsham
    Dr. Joe Grant Worsham, 71, of Sulphur Springs died at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. 

    He was born in Sulphur Springs on May 13, 1942, the only child of Joe Horace Worsham and Flora Matt Grant Worsham. 
    Joe attended school in Sulphur Springs, graduating in 1960. After high school, Joe attended college at the University of Texas in Austin for one year and then transferred to and graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton. 
    After college, Joe obtained his doctor of dental surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.
    Dr. Worsham practiced as a dentist in the Dallas area for many years but, after his marriage to Jan in 1981, moved his dental practice home to Sulphur Springs where he continued to practice until health issues forced him to retire in 2012.
     Survivors include his much beloved son and light of his life, Matthew Worsham; former wife and forever best friend, Jan Worsham; his aunt, Edna Earl Grant; cousins Jackie Grant and  wife, Deanna, Bill Grant and wife, Susie, Gerry Grant and wife, Myra, Jeff Massey and wife, Prissy, James (Jimmy) Worsham and wife, Virginia, Kathy Worsham Reeves and husband, Wayne, all of Sulphur Springs; Lou Ann Stare and husband, Peter, of Dallas; Andrea Massey of Dallas, Carol Flo Steed and husband, Chris, of Houston; close life-long friends Warren Brewer and Linda Bennett, Tom Green, Ene and Kay Ashcroft and dear friends Jimmy Thomas and Kathy Shadwell, all of Sulphur Springs; as well as many friends and former patients, too numerous to mention, who were still in touch with and cared deeply for him.
     Arrangements for a memorial service are pending and will be published at a later date.
     Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
