Funeral services for Nezzie George, 91, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Kenneth Rhoades officiating.
Interment will follow at Forest Academy with Chad Beck, Chase Beck, Carl Atkinson, Landon George, Norval George, Wayne Fountain and Kevin Beck serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home.
Nezzie George died Monday, Feb. 23, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Franklin County, on Feb. 22, 1918, the daughter of Steve Westbrook Sr. and Minnie Cater Westbrook.
She married Johnsie A. George. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. George was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Fouse, Flora Hicks, both of Sulphur Springs, and Rosa Lewis of Austin; two sons, Billy Tom George of Sulphur Springs and Bobby D. George of Brinker; one sister, Christine Nail of Weatherford; grandchildren, Jean Fouse, William Fouse, Karen Huskey, Judith Beck, Trulene Robertson, Norval George, Landon George, Tissha Atkinson, Billy George, Johnny George, Joe George, Rhonda Bell, Sonja Lewis, Tannis Lewis and Charlotte Crump; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Linda George and Janie George; one son, Bobby Lou George and several brothers and sisters.
