Funeral services for Lorenzo Bryant Sr., 88, of Como, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at Pilgrim's Baptist Church in Lubbock, with the Rev. Wilburn Tanner officiating.

Interment will follow at Peaceful Garden in Lubbock with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Bryant, Harry Bryant, Anthony Bryant, Rodney Bryant, Lorenzo Bryant Jr. and Ralph Bryant.

There will be no formal visitation.

Mr. Bryant died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

He was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Itasca.

He married Faye Dell on Aug. 28, 1947, in Camp County. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Bryant was a car salesman and served in the United States Army during WWII.

He was a member Independent Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include six sons, Lorenzo Bryant Jr., Anthony Bryant and wife, Susan, Harry Bryant and wife, Fay, Rodney Bryant and wife, Yolanda, Bryan Kevin Bryant and Ralph Bryant and wife, Doreen; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He and Mrs. Bryant raised three great-grandchildren, Erica Bryant, Lenequia Bryant, Tamira English Bryant; and one grandson, Brandon Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers and five sisters.

Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
