Funeral services for Imogene Glenn, 89, Yantis are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at First Baptist Church of Yantis with the Rev. Jeremy Durig and Tony Gilbreath officating.

Burial will follow in the Yantis City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman.

Mrs. Glenn died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013.

Imogene Glenn was born July 26, 1924, in Rock Hill (Wood County) to Hudie and Hattie McAnally Morgan. They preceded her in death.

She married Arnold Glenn on Aug. 27, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Mrs. Glenn was a teacher and taught in Yantis Independent School District for 53 years. She retired in 2000 after teaching a total of 58 years. She had also volunteered at the Imogene Glenn Elementery School in Yantis since retirement.

She lived in Wood County all of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Yantis. She taught Sunday school in Yantis for more than 50 years.

Survivors include two sons, Brent Glenn and his wife, Diane, of Yantis, and Layne Glenn of Fort Worth; and two grandchildren, Ryan Glenn and Colton Glenn.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

The family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church Yantis or to the Yantis City Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman.
