Albert Reeves Sr. was reunited with his beloved wife of over 60 years Friday, Nov. 22, 2013. Funeral services and interment for Albert Reeves were held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at 10 a.m.  Bro. David Burns of Brashear Baptist Church, where Albert is a member, officiated.  Visitation was Monday, Nov. 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.

He was born to Eldon and Lois (Wilcox) Reeves in Princeton on Aug. 18, 1933.

He married his true soul mate, Betty Lou Thomas, on Feb. 11, 1952.  She preceded him in death on July 3, 2012. They resided in Princeton until 2003 when they moved to Sulphur Springs.

Albert retired from Kraft Foods in Garland after 37 years. He was also an avid farmer, raised milk goats and sheep, as well as enjoyed his many famous unusual pets.

After retiring, Albert and Betty enjoyed a ceramics business and other handmade crafts and playing soft pitch baseball. Albert gave so much to so many over the years. His focus was serving God as close to the Bible as he could. His special caring touch included all people and animals. He loved to fish and hunt and do anything outdoors. He will forever be loved and missed beyond words.

Also preceding him in death were his parents and his only sibling, Dr. Homer Reeves.

Survivors include two daughters; Betty Reeves Finn, Margaret Reeves Yochum and her husband, Tom; one son, Albert H. Reeves Jr. and his wife, Shaina; 10 grandchildren, Kenneth Newsom, Katrisha Milligan, Karen Lockett, Kevin Newsom, Glynn Mosier, Chris Mosier, Dharma Reeves, Taylor Reeves, Aiden Yudall and Victoria Reeves; and 11 great grandchildren, Tierra, Bryson and Tyson Newsom, Bourne and Bodhi Milligan, Kade and Gabby Lockett, Preston and Parker Newsom, Lilly and Gavin Mosier.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the church or any non-profit that is close to your heart.
