A memorial service for Jimmy Ray Robbins, 78, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Don Goldsmith officiating.

No formal visitation is scheduled.

Mr. Robbins died Tuesday morning, Nov. 5, 2013, at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.

Jimmy Ray Robbins was born in Bristow, Okla., on Dec. 24, 1934, the son of Floyd Clifton Robbins and Mary Elizabeth (Clark) Robbins.

He married Daralene Underwood in Sulphur Springs on Sept. 11, 1954; she survives.

He was retired from Robbins Upholstery and he was of the Church of Christ faith.

Other survivors include one son, Mike Robbins and wife, Julia, of Yantis; two daughters, Karen Hooks and Mitzi Hughes and husband, J.R., of Sulphur Springs; one sister, Dorothy Eaton of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren Brena Robbins, Clif Robbins, Kendall Robbins, Tim Hooks, Tony Hooks, Josh Peugh and Marisha Moreland; and great-grandchildren Haylee Hooks, Mycaylah Hooks, Hayden Hooks, Hannah Sandlin, Payton Hooks, Zach Long, Brayden Moreland and Stella Moreland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Louise Douglas; and baby brother, Lee Leverne Robbins.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
