Graveside services for Doris Welch, 92, of Sulphur Springs, formerly of Seminole, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, in the Sterling City Cemetery in Sterling City, with Garland Cates officiating.
Mrs. Welch died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, in Sulphur Springs.
Doris Welch was born Nov. 16, 1920, in Midland to William Frances and Ida Mae Tedford.
She married Myrle Welch on June 7, 1937, in Big Spring. He preceded her in death in February 2004.
The couple moved to Seminole in 1956.
She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole, and was employed by the Gaines County Clerk's Office for many years.
She moved to Sulphur Springs in July 2007.
Survivors include a son, Ted Welch and wife, Linda, of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Nita White of Fairview and Betty Saylor and husband, Kenneth, of Copperopolis, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.
