A graveside service for Carol Jane Myers, 78, of Point will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Emory City Cemetery with Bro. Doyle Hayes officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Myers died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
Carol Jane Myers was born on May 19, 1935, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Glen and Esther (Freed) Thomas.
She married George Myers on Feb. 27, 1965, in Lee Summit, Mo. He survives.
Mrs. Myers worked as an education assistant for Texas A&M University-Commerce. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Point.
Other survivors include one son, Don Myers and wife, Shelly, of Sulphur Springs; two grandchildren, Tate and Kaitlyn Myers; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Thomas of Overland Park, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Thomas.
