Funeral services for Elizabeth Courson, 82, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, in Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Bruce Stinson officiating.
Interment will follow at Pine Forest Cemetery with Kevin Duerkson, Ernest Young, Bobby Bain, Calvin Bain, Keith Bain and Dale Sprague serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13.
Elizabeth Courson died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at Carriage House Manor.
She was born in Pine Forest on Oct. 30, 1930, the daughter of Cal Bain and Bobbie (Perkins) Bain.
She married Floyd “Cap” Courson in Pine Forest on Dec. 6, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1991.
She was a secretary at Northeast Texas Express and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James Courson and, wife, Linda of Sulphur Springs and Leonard Courson and wife, Kathy, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren Michelle Tipps and husband, Kevin, Amy Baskin, Stephanie Courson and Gretchen Muller; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darla Nell Courson; two brothers, Noble Bain and Darrell Bain; and her parents.
