A funeral service for Della Goldsmith, 86, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, with the Rev. Bradley Edge and the Rev. Lee Huff officiating.
Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery with Don Chapman, Jerrel Chapman, David Burns, Joseph Burns, Johnathon Goldsmith, Chris Vike, Arthur Luna and Hunter Burns serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Underwood, Dwayne Baker, Ladarius Harrison and members of Calvary Baptist Church.
Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at the funeral home.
Della Goldsmith died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Birthright on Nov. 21, 1926, the daughter of Jim Lewis Griffith and Izella Minnie Page.
She married J. L. Goldsmith in Sulphur Springs on Dec. 15, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2002.
She was a retired seamstress at H.D. Lee Co. and a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church for more than 60 years.
Survivors include a son, John Goldsmith and wife, Kitty, of Como; daughters Glenna Burns and husband, Denny, of Como and Vikki Reed of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren Johnathan Goldsmith and Amanda, Misty Baker and Dwayne, Amanda Goldsmith, David Burns and Deborah, Julie Vike and Chris, Joseph Burns and Jennifer, Amy Luna and Arthur, Melanie Cline and Janet Reed; great-grandchildren Maisie Harrison, Cassidy Luna, Morgan Burns, Hunter Burns, Baylie Vike, Emalie Vike, Madison Vike, Ben Vike, Elijah Burns, Peyton Burns, Charles Holder, Erich Holder, Shelby Holder, Mary Haddock, Gabby Goldsmith, Ally Goldsmith, Jaylee and James Lewis Goldsmith; and one great-great-grandchild, Kylee Kapri Harrison.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Chapman and Lillie Mae Burks; and one brother, Jimmy Griffith.
