Bonnie Mae Ray
Graveside services for Bonnie Mae Ray, 86, of Tyler are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, in Restlawn Memorial Park in Sulphur Springs with Mike Perryman officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler, located at 1011 East First Street.
Mrs. Ray died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, in Tyler.
She was born on Aug. 31, 1927, in Sulphur Springs to the late Roland Marion and Eva Lou Lawhon Follis.
She married Elwood Ray on July 7, 1947; and they were married for 63 years before his death.
She volunteered for East Texas Medical Center for several years before being employed by East Texas Medical Center in the Physical Therapy Department, where she worked from 1975-1989 when she retired at age 71.
She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita Perryman and husband, Mike, of Moody and Carolyn Golightly of Mount Pleasant; son Michael Ray of Whitehouse; grandchildren Page Glasson of Woodway, Kelly Ragsdale of Lubbock, John Golightly of Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., Joshua and Jacob Ray of Whitehouse and David Golightly of Mt. Pleasant; and great-grandchildren Isabel and Eli Glasson, Emma, Reagan and Coulter Ragsdale and Brody Golightly.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral home in Tyler.
