Funeral services for Herminio Zarco, 59, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Maria Susai Avula officiating.
Interment will follow at the Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Carlos Torres, Fabriziano Samano, Francisco Zarco, Thomas Zarco, Eros Pineda and Gabriel Barajas serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 22 until 5 p.m. The family will receive friends at their residence on Friday, Aug. 23.
Mr. Zarco died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, in Delta County.
He was born Dec. 10, 1953, in Agua Santa, Michoacan, Mexico, the son of Thomas Zarco and Guillerminia Fuerte.
He married Consuelo Barajas on April 21, 1976, in Michoacan, Mexico. He was a ranch worker and of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Francisco Zarco of Sulphur Springs and Thomas Alfredo Zarco of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Yanet Zarco of Yantis; two sisters, Magdalena Samano of Michigan and Micaela Vargas of Mexico City; and five grandchildren, Christopher, Axel and Ashanti Pineda and Pamela and Allan Zarco.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alfredo Zarco.
