James Jones, 77, of Sulphur Springs died Friday, July 12, 2013, Carriage House Manor.
Mr. Jones was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Miami, Okla., the son of Charles and Bessie Ann (Crosby) Jones.
He married Ruth Ann Holden on Sept. 5, 1958, in Miami, Okla. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Jones served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Miami Housing Authority as head of maintenance and retired in 2008. He was a member of Lake Highland Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Mark Jones of Miami, Okla.; two daughters, Janis Ingram and husband, Danny, and Jozie Johnson and husband, Kent, all of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren Pepper Jansen, Scott Hammans, T.J. Ingram, Kalie Floyd, Ashly Johnson, Tiffany and Alyssia Jones; and great-grandchildren Kolby Sonntag, Hunter Sonntag, Syanna Jansen, Dezyre Ingram, Dayden Floyd, Autumn Hammans, John Hammans, Aysia Johnson, Shevy Hodges and Kloie May.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Amanda Jones.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
